Guitar Classes for the Absolute Beginner
I believe learning the basics of playing the guitar should be an easy and straightforward undertaking. Everyone can learn to play the guitar! Whether you have hours a day to practice or only minutes, everyone can master the basics quickly and easily. The guitar holds such fascination partly because it’s easy to learn and yet you can still spend a lifetime unlocking it’s nuance and complexity.
I believe learning the guitar, or any instrument for that matter, is about enjoying the process of learning, and only secondarily about the performance that process can produce.
I teach guitar classes for BISD in Bastrop. We will work thru the Absolute Beginner thru to the beginning of the intermediate player stage together. Then you graduate as a “Certified Guitarist” because guitar lessons aren’t forever. I think it helps everyone to know that there is a finite body of knowledge and skills we need to work thru at this level. After that you can switch to learning on your own (you’ll have the tools by then) or with a teacher specializing in your particular favorite style.
